Mission and About Us

Israeli Harvest is a small company with a unique story - we are farmers supporting farmers. Behind the company are two Maryland organic farmers, Tanya Tolchin and Scott Hertzberg. For a decade, we have grown vegetables on our small Maryland farm called Jug Bay Market Garden. We market our produce through a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) subscription program and started Israeli Harvest because we believe Israeli farmers can benefit from similar creative ways to connect farmers with a supportive community.

Israeli Harvest's mission is to support farming in Israel by providing our customers with exceptional natural Israeli farm products. Like American farmers, Israeli farmers struggle to make a living and farmland is being converted to housing at a fast pace. They need steady support to keep farming during these challenging times. Currently farmers produce with the hope that they will have a buyer for their harvest. Israeli Harvest helps take some of the risk out of farming in Israel by placing orders with farmers far in advance of the harvest season.
