Jewish Holiday CSA

Israeli Harvest's Holiday CSA is modeled after the community supported agriculture (CSA) programs offered by many local farms across the United States. Like subscribers of a local food CSA, members of the Israeli Harvest Holiday CSA receive assortments of natural and organic artisanal Israeli food to enjoy during Jewish holidays. Israeli Harvest ships assortments throughout the United States and also delivers assortments to synagogues in the Baltimore/Washington area for members to pick up.

The Holiday CSA features some of the best gourmet natural Israeli products available in America. Individual items in each holiday shipment are listed below.  Subscribers to the Holiday CSA can chose to receive assortments for the next two or four holidays on our schedule (Passover, Rosh Hashanah, Hanukah, Tu B'Shavt).

Benefits for Israeli Farms

The benefits to Israeli farmers are the same as with local food CSA subscription programs. By paying for the assortments in advance, members of the holiday CSA together create a much more stable, predictable market for sustainably grown and natural Israeli food.  The Jewish Holiday CSA supports agriculture in Israel at a time when it is under enormous pressure from residential development and other forces. It can be more accurately called a form of Diaspora Supported Agriculture.
